Welcome to Nash County!

We believe that politically we are one of the most important counties in the nation — both at the state and at the federal level.

Nash, along with Wilson County, forms the NC General Assembly House District 24, which is held by Democrat Dante Pittman. If the Democratic Party loses this seat, Republicans will once again have a super-majority that enables them to override Democrat Governor Josh Stein’s vetoes and continue their radical gerrymandering. That means they’ll be able to continue to unfairly win the seats in Congress that give them a majority there.

On the national level, although North Carolina’s Congressional District (NC-01) leans Republican, we think it is winnable in 2026 if we can mount a super-effective ground game. We’re very hopeful that, with help from We Stand Together, we’ll do exactly that.

We Nash County Democrats believe in year-round organizing, and we are one of the few Eastern North Carolina county parties with a year-round headquarters! Together with other community partners, we knock over 25,000 doors! We do this through disciplined, people-powered organizing — the kind that doesn’t vanish when the elections are over.

Now, we are working to strengthen that infrastructure, expand our reach, and educate and mobilize as many voters as possible. We know we are fighting for the rights not just of Nash County residents, but of all Americans. This motivates us to work hard, and we are sure it will motivate We Stand Together’s Nash County team members to lend us your support.
