We support Democratic county parties working in crucial swing states and Congressional districts.
County Democratic parties (also called “county committees”) are the critical grassroots infrastructure of the Democratic Party.
In almost every county of the U.S., these volunteer activists do all the hard work of electoral politics. They canvass year-round, every year in their communities; they recruit and support candidates to run down ballot; they host public events, and in countless other ways are the visible presence of the Democratic Party in their communities. Every candidate who runs for office depends on their energetic support.
Yet Democratic county parties receive virtually no funding from progressive organizations and the national Democratic Party, and very little (if any) from their state Democratic parties. They all have to work on bake-sale budgets.
We Stand Together believes that this is wrong - and just plain stupid, especially at a time when the national Democratic Party is widely distrusted. The members of county parties live and work in their communities, and they continually remind folks there that Democrats are not just an urban elite that is out of touch with “real” Americans - they are their neighbors, their fellow workers, their family.
We Stand Together was established in 2025 to bring local activist Democrats the support they deserve, support that can win elections AND build an enduring Democratic infrastructure all across rural America. We hope you will join us.
