Welcome to Beaver County!
Located in the heart of a swing district of a swing state, Beaver County will be a major battleground in the 2026 and 2028 elections. People forget that the role of the rural Democrats in purple areas like ours is to keep margins close enough that the more traditionally blue parts of the District and state can make up the difference and win. Our work isn’t always flashy, but it’s absolutely essential.
In 2024, we helped get two Democrats elected here even though Trump win the county. We also helped sent Congressman Chris Deluzio back to Washington and State Assemblyman Rob Matzie to Philadelphia - where the Democrats hold a bare one-seat majority in the Assembly.
But MAGA remains strong here, and they are going all-out to reclaim the two seats we won from them in 2024. So we have our work cut out for us. We know that the months ahead will bring a ton more work as well huge challenges.

Our Mission and Our Work
Our mission is to elect Democrats up and down the ballot in Beaver County and in Pennsylvania’s 17th District. We have succeeded because we live, and work, and worship here, and we know many of our neighbors, and many know us. But our job is to keep reaching out further and to bring many former Democrats back into the Party. This is personal, relational work: firm handshakes, good eye-contact, attentive listening, and a willingness to see things from other points of view. It is also organizational work: organizing and activating our precincts, recruiting candidates to run down-ballot, getting election materials printed and distributed. We could do this work even better if we didn’t have to spend so much time fundraising for our committee. This is why your help is so important.
What We’ve Achieved
During the 2024 election, fighting against a national tide of Republican victories, we were able to hold the line here in Beaver County. Working in a purple county, we achieved margins narrow enough to secure the re-election of our Democratic Congressman, Chris Deluzio. We also held the one seat Democratic majority in the state house by re-electing our Democratic State Representative Rob Matzie. And in 2023 we were able to flip our District Attorney’s seat in a year when the typically safely blue Allegheny county actually elected a Republican as their District Attorney.
In the 2025 elections, our work helped persuade Beaver County voters to retain all 5 judges that were up for retention - 3 Supreme Court Justices, 1 Commonwealth Court Judge, and 1 Superior Court judge. We also retained our Beaver County Judge of Orphan Courts - the only countywide race this year.At the local level, we also won our biggest local race for magistrate in a reddish purple (call it magenta) district, thanks to the hard work of our volunteers.
These results show that while winning outright in Beaver County is difficult, it is not impossible. We aim to demonstrate that again in 2026, when our Congressman Chris Deluzio is up for re-election.
