Welcome to Cabarrus County!

You wouldn’t call us a “swing county” exactly—Trump won 53% of the vote here in 2024—but we still play an essential role in the state and nationwide struggle against MAGA.

First, you have to remember every vote cast here in Cabarrus is as crucial as a vote cast anywhere else in North Carolina. (A lot of political “strategists” overlook that basic fact, and assume that rural Democratic voters don’t count—maybe don’t exist.)

Second, here in Cabarrus, Democrats don’t just exist; we’re gaining ground. In 2024, 90% of the counties in the U.S. became more red. But not here, where we shifted 1.8% more blue — thanks to the ongoing hard work of our dedicated team members..

Third, we’re in North Carolina, which is where the Republicans’ extreme MAGA tactics were first tested: the Koch brothers and the Republican Party spent a ton of money to win seats in the state legislature, then used their new Republican majority to gerrymander the state and lock in a Republican majority forever! For them, our democracy is something to abuse and then destroy. We can’t let that happen.

As our 2024 results show, Cabbarus Democrats are successfully fighting back. With your help, we will keep making gains in 2026 and 2028. Thank you for standing with us!
